GR 571, that’s 165 km great hiking in the real Ardennes. The trail takes you along three of the most beautiful river valleys in the country: the Amblève, the Salm and the Lienne.
This is not an easy trail if you’ve only been been hiking in flat landscapes! There’s quite a few climbs and descents, but the reward is more than worth the effort. In the topoguide it’s stated as follows: « A rough trail? So what! The Ardennes require some effort, they only tend to really show themselves to those deserving it, and they jealously hide their secrets from the motorised visitor who only gets to observe it from a distance… » Well said!
GR 571 is documented in one single topoguide.
