GR 126 (Brussels - Semois)

GR 126 is a long distance hiking path leading from the heart of Belgium (Brussels) all the way to Membre-sur-Semois.
In Brussels the GR 126 trail starts at a real hiker's crossing: the cathedral of Saint-Michael where other trails such as GR 12, GR 579 and several others come along.
The path covers over 220 km., passing through the province of Brabant-Wallon, and leading over Namur and Dinant towards the valley of the Semois river. There the trail connects with the GR 15 path (which is a part of the international long distance path E 3). There should be enough variation in the landscapes to make this a worthwhile hiking path!
From Brussels the trail is described in one topoguide.
We think (but we're not sure about this) there also exists a northern extension. It should be documented in a separate topoguide containing information on several hikes through Brussels. We can remember having noticed GR 126 signs somewhere along the GR 128 trail. But maybe that's only a liaison part to connect both trails.
