GR TRAILS GR 121

GR 121 (Wavre - Côte d'Opale)

A Walloon - French long distance hiking trail that takes you from the center of Belgium all the way to the French Côte d'Opale.

The Belgian part of the GR 121 trail crosses the provinces Brabant-Wallon and Hainaut. For most flemish people these are the nearest parts of Wallonia. The trail is an ideal opportunity to go on a discovery tour of those regions.

Near Tournai the trail leaves Belgium and takes you through the southern part of the French Nord-Pas-de-Calais region, all the way to Boulogne-sur-Mer at the Côte d'Opale. This is the birthplace of Godefroy de Bouillon, and as such this is our link back to Belgium.

The Belgian part of the trail is described in two topoguides (written in French). For the moment we're only interested in the first booklet.
