GR TRAILS

Our GR Trails

E-mail Print

GRhumorThe hiking reports you'll find under this menu button are not meant to be road descriptions. They reflect our personal impressions, things worth knowing and other details, noted down  on our hikes along several GR trails. Road descriptions can be found in the topoguides published by the local GR organisations.

GR trails vary in length and are documented in one or more topoguides. Shorter trails such as GR 565 and GR 512 are contained in one single topoguide. Longer trails such as GR 5 and GR 128 are described in several topoguides. That's why we present our hikes per trail, then per topoguide under that trail.

If you're looking for information on a particular hike on this website, there's 2 ways to find it:

The first way is to use the menu button 'GR TRAILS'. Under that button you'll find a list of the trails where we already hiked. There's also a topic showing an overview map with our trails.
Click on one of the trails, and you'll see a short description about it, followed by a list of the topoguides we already hiked on that trail.
Now click a topoguide and you'll get the list of the individual hikes we made from that guide.
The GR trails and the topoguides that we hiked completely are marked with a * sign.

The second way is to type a search term in the search window, situated on the right side in the heading of this webpage.
For example you might type the name of a place situated upon or nearby the hiking path you're looking for. If we ever hiked there, chances are that you'll obtain one or more search results.
Click on a result and the article will be opened on your screen. The article also mentions which GR trail and which topoguide it belongs to.

With each hike we do our best to include as much 'Back and Forth' information as possible. Most of the time this information highlights the possibilities offered by the public transportation companies. However, timetables and train/tram/bus connections change in time, so it's necessary to always verify this information yourself via the websites of the NMBS and De Lijn (or other public transportation companies). Also read our Heen en terug tips and Hoe stap je een GR route? articles.

If you ever hike on one or more of these trails, you can always note down your personal impressions and remarks under each hike. Maybe your notes are useful to others too.

A certain Mr. Van Rompuy - an all but democratically choosen representative of the European Community - tells the Russion leaders he's worried about the democratic election process in Russia.
The Russian leaders do their best not to burst into laughter.
