The map below shows our favourite GR hikes.
Don't look for a particular 'type' of hike here. Our favourites may as well be busy city hikes as quiet rural hikes, or they may be situated in flat as well as mountainous regions. Our only criteria are 'surprise', 'discovery', 'atmosphere', 'originality'. And what may be 'surprising' for us, may well be 'boring' for others ...

Our choice of 'favourite hikes' is a pure personal one, but maybe others can agree with it. If you find hikes on this website that are not part of our choice, and you have good reasons to think they should be there, please tell us. We'll be happy to read your arguments, and maybe you're right ... We can always adapt our choice.
hallo, wat me opvalt is dat er vooral in het vlaamse gedeelte gewandeld wordt. Mochten jullie ooit "onze kant (Muno, Pérensart)" komen wandelen, dan kan ik jullie garanderen dat dit een ontdekking wordt voor de wandelaars, zeer mooie streek op 4 km van de franse grens, een prachtig natuurreservaat van 300 ha naast ons met forellenbeekjes en de Roche à l'appel (bewegwijzerde wandelpaden), een RAVeL naast ons gelegen, een gebied dat op toeristisch gebied vrij onbekend is en zeer veel te bieden heeft. groeten, Emmy
Bedankt voor de tip! Omdat we afhankelijk zijn van openbaar vervoer beperken onze 1-dagswandelingen zich inderdaad hoofdzakelijk tot het Vlaamse landsgedeelte. Wallonië biedt fantastische wandelgebieden en een aangename sfeer (dacht iedereen maar zo over zijn landgenoten ...), maar door de afstand kruipt er veel tijd in openbaar vervoer, zodat het moeilijk wordt om eventjes op en af te reizen. Goede meerdaagse 'low-budget' wandelarrangementen zouden meer 'actieve' toeristen naar jullie contreien kunnen lokken, maar helaas zijn die zeldzaam. Er lijkt op dat gebied nog heel wat werk aan de winkel te zijn. Een gat in de markt?
