We kunnen de topogids GR 126 (Brussel - Semois) weer opbergen. De eindetappe vanuit Gedinne bracht ons naar de brug in Membre waar we eindelijk de Semois mochten bewonderen.

In ruim 230 kilometers doorkruisten we de provincies Waals-Brabant en Namen. Het traject was meestal de moeite waard, we mogen terugblikken op een mooi GR avontuur.

Another wonderful nature hike! The GR 126 trail really surprises in.
This time we were shown the vast forests between Sevry-Javingue and Vencimont, and for the most part of the hike we followed the little river La Houille all the way up to Gedinne. From Gedinne a train took us back to Gendron-Celles, passing by Beauraing, the starting place of the hike.

A marvellous hike starting in the valley of the river Lesse and then ascending towards Mesnil-Eglise. On its way to Martouzin-Neuville the trail alternates between forests and open fields and finally leads us along a long hill slope to Beauraing.

The hike is quite long, but the fresh colors of spring made us forget the effort. Start and finish of the hike are situated on the same railway line.

The province of Brabant Wallon is a good place to hike. We returned there to continue our journey on the GR 121 trail, walking from the hamlet of La Roche to the city of Nivelles.
Not really a spectacular hike, but the trail is varied and the landscape worthwhile.

Start and finish of the hike can be reached by train and that's always a plus.

Just a short message to announce that now is the time to admire the stunning daffodils in the region of the Hautes Fagnes.
We visited the area to enjoy this yearly phenomenom.

A beautiful day in spring, a hike well started on the GR 561 trail ... but it didn't last.

In the region around Hulsten and Balen the itinerary got caught up in a densely populated area and never really succeeded in escaping it. Nevertheless the surrounding region seems to offer plenty of interesting natural landscapes.
High time for a major redesign of the itinerary on this part of the trail ...
